Welcome to our 3d FAQ page. You can find answers to your queries here.
» WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY RENDER / RENDERING ?
Its is the computational process of creating an image from a 3D scene. This process can actually be viewed on screen as the image is gradually created.
» WHAT IS ARCHITECTURAL VISUALIZATION / ARCHITECTURAL ILLUSTRATIONS ?
Architectural Visualization or 3d Architectural Visualization is a term given to a process wherein, an architects plan and elevations of a project are generated as a three dimensional structure, much before it is actually constructed in the real world.
It is a way of representing, in all its dimensions and textures, how a building would look once it is constructed. It is a computer generated virtual image, that is rendered or created on the computers monitor through the use of highly sophisticated 3d softwares like 3ds Max. Its final output is usually made available either as an image or as a fly-through or a walk through animation wherein the camera ideally moves around a computer generated 3d complex.
Architectural inputs like CAD drawings along with textures to be applied etc are expertly fed into the software for getting the desired quality of output. Advanced lighting settings done through the softwares enable the highly experienced 3d lighting experts to generate REAL PHOTO like effects in the output. Because of this feature, the process has also earned the name PHOTOREALISTIC Rendering.
Its use is multifold- it can be used effectively either by an architect for conveying his concept to his client or by a builder or construction company for actually selling their 'soon to be coming' product to prospective buyers
There are various other terms that are often interchangebly used to describe this process, like 3d Architectural Renderings, Architectural 3d Illustrations, PhotoReal Renderings and Computer generated 3 dimensional architectural renderings.
» INPUTS REQUIRED FOR CREATING A 3D MODEL OR FOR RENDERING.
Ideally, we shall need the following for creating 3d models:-
» CAD Files (DXF/DWG Format) of all the plans, sections and elevations.
» Details or samples of materials/ color / textures etc that are required to be applied on the model.
We can also create 3d models on the basis of reference images available as PDF files, jpegs, scanned images, photographs etc provided they have dimensions marked on them.
Our primary clientele includes Architects, Builders and Interior Designers. We have also undertaken projects for numerous companies in the field of Engineering, Exhibition & Event Management and Media & Advertising.
» DO YOU WORK FOR OTHER 3D RENDERING HOUSES ?
Yes we have worked with other 3d companies in the past, but we prefer to work directly with clients/ 3d outsourcing companies.
» HOW DO YOU WORK ? EXPLAIN YOUR WORK PROCESS.
Our work process, under normal circumstances, consists of Four Stages:-
STAGE 1 :- COST & TIME ESTIMATION.
» You send us the drawings/details (cad files) of the project.
» You specify the Preferred Camera Angle for the perspective.
» We analyse the drawings sent by you and your requirements.
» We email to you a Formal Quote specific to your needs along with the estimated costing and time frame.
STAGE 2 :- BASIC BLOCKING.
» On your accepting our Formal Quote we start the modelling work.
» We email to you the basic blocking of the model as prepared by us as a jpeg image.
» You convey your inputs / suggestions about the basic model.
» Once you are satisfied with the basic blocking, you will be required to pay 50% of the estimated cost to us. The amount shall have to be deposited by paypal or wire transferred etc to our bank account.
STAGE 3 :- MODIFICATIONS & APPROVAL.
» A low resolution output of the preliminary blocking with surrounding photoshop work, if any is sent to you for your approval .
» You suggest any changes in the structure, material or texture applied.
» Changes suggested by you are incorporated and a low resolution output is sent to you for approval.
STAGE 4 :- FINAL OUTPUT.
» After your approval, a high quality output in the form of a high resolution jpeg or Tiff image is sent to you by using one of the following options :-
» E mail, Through our FTP link or using YouSENDIT.
» At this stage, you are required to pay the balance amount through paypal or wire transfer it to our bank account.
NOTE :» Under normal circumstances, the final output will be forwarded to you once you have made the payment.
» For any changes required at or after STAGE 4, a reasonable charge shall be leviable.
» HOW MUCH TIME WILL IT TAKE TO PRODUCE A PERSPECTIVE / RENDERING ?
Actual time required for a work can only be calculated after analysing the drawings. A number of factors like the size of the project, complexity, image output size & number of perspective views required heavily influence the time required for a specific project.
Generally speaking, small projects take around 3 days while bigger ones require 4 days or more.
